The Laser Portable device freezes up and then turns off when the following steps are taken: turn on I&R check, leave I&R on, turn on gas test. Gas test will not run and unit will shutdown. What is the issue here?

As stated in the manual, you must turn off the I&R test before starting the “Self Check Test” i.e. “Gas Test”.
